Best Dog Crate Furniture Dogs and Owners LoveThese days with smaller living spaces every piece of furniture needs to be carefully selected for form and function. When it comes to dog crate furniture these are the perfect blend of both stylish furniture and solid confinement options for your pet.

All dogs need to be confined in a way that you can leave them home and feel confident your "stuff" won't be destroyed when you return. For puppies this is especially true.

We have downsized quite a bit over the last couple years. Though Katie and Pudge are mostly lay around dogs these days, I'm confident there will be a new puppy in our home one day. When that day arrives, we will definitely be purchasing one of these end table dog kennels to keep that puppy secure when we have to leave him.

I've decided on these five pieces because of their style and functionality. We will be going over the high and low points of each. Most require some sort of padding, they all need assembly, and some are more puppy friendly than others.

Some feature more wood, others are metal based. Some are better with older dogs; some are puppy places. Paying attention to aggressive chewer warnings are also a factor. As we are looking with an eye towards putting a puppy in them, being able to keep puppy from chewing their way out it important to me.

I've also got an eye on what would look good with my personal style of decorating. If you have a different flair for design, be sure to click around on the other options. These end tables, side tables, and nightstands come in a myriad of sizes and designs. Really something for everyone.

This beautiful end table dog kennel combo is both gorgeous and functional. Made of rustic wood tone particle board and steel this will house a small or medium sized dog, no problem. Probably more oriented towards being a bed for older dogs than a containment area for puppies though. I can see a puppy finding a way to chew through the wood on the back part of this.

Seems to be easy to assemble and looks great even in the picture in the reviews.

Eco Friendly Stylish Dog Crate Night Stand or End Table
Eco Friendly Stylish Dog Crate Night Stand or End Table

Solid wood eco-friendly dog kennel. Gorgeous piece that aggressive chewers or bored puppies will make their way through in no time. One of the reviewers had a genius idea, however. They decided to line the kennel with small square wire. This doesn't detract from the aesthetics of the piece of furniture but does provide protection from destructive dog teeth. (Puppies are the worst with their sharp pointy teeth that they want to put on everything)

This is easy to assemble and is by far my favorite design. It just looks so polished. Probably not the best choice for a puppy though.

Sturdy Mostly Metal Dog Crate and Side Table

Of all of the choices here this is most fitted for puppies and style. I love that it has wide slats in the bottom so one doesn't actually need a bed. It is mostly designed with metal featuring a few wooden accents on the top and partly down the front. It provides lots of ventilation.

Easy to assemble and comes with wheels that included stoppers. This can be moved easily from room to room.

Real Wood Dog Crate End Table - In White

Real wood eco-friendly dog kennel. though a lovely piece, puppies and chewers will destroy this in record time. One of the reviewers had a brilliant idea, however. They added wire with small squares to the inside of the cage. It doesn't detract from the aesthetics of end table yet protects the piece from puppy teeth.

This is the white version of this solid wood quality piece of furniture. Probably best for more established dogs who need a bed and are 40 pounds or less.

Metal Cage Dog Crate With Solid Wood Top and Legs

This last one is the one I'll probably end up going with, though I do love the real wood pieces above. Basically, a metal cage with wood top and legs this dog kennel will stand up to the rigors of a puppy. The tray on the bottom pulls out so it makes for each cleaning when puppy puddles happen. This goes together quickly and is a nice piece of practical furniture and sound enclosure for young dogs.
